Norway House Cree Nation Members residing in Winnipeg are invited to attend the second Public Meeting pertaining to the NHCN Land Code and associated processes as our Nation works toward the successful ratification of the Land Code through a Community Ratification Process.

Members are encouraged to participate in the drafting of the NHCN Land Code, which will guide how NHCN lands will be governed. Members are also encouraged to participate in the review of Areas of Potential Environmental Concern located within or adjacent to the NHCN existing Reserve.

Objectives

Provide a recap on the First Nation Lands Management Act, its processes and the steps required for NHCN to establish and implement its own Land Code.
Continue the Review of the NHCN Draft Land Code with input from Membership.
Introduction of Areas of Potential Environmental Concern (APECs) located within and adjacent to NHCN’s existing Reserve
